Personal Life

In the last decade, Linda and her husband bought an RV and traveled the western half of the United States, venturing from state to state and visiting national parks. Their goal was straightforward: see and hike as many of the state and national parks as possible. Over a year and a half, they hiked deserts, mountains, and ancient ruins, watched birds, visited dear relatives, and eventually made it back to their home in Seattle after the trek of a lifetime!

When not working or traveling, Linda also has a passion for helping those who live in poverty. She has raised funds and awareness as a volunteer for Heifer International since January 1980. Heifer International’s mission is to work with communities to end world hunger and poverty and to care for the Earth. Learn more about their philosophy here.
